Glass Optical Fiber Connectivity for Multigig In-vehicle Networking

2025-02-10

At the 11th Automotive Ethernet Congress from February 18 to 20, 2025, in Munich, Germany, we will give the workshop “Glass Optical Fiber Connectivity for Multigig In-vehicle Networking” together with Corning. On February 19, 11.45, our Marketing and Sales Director Óscar Ciordia, our Business Development Manager Pablo Blázquez , and Suresh Donthu, Director Innovation, Product Management, NBD, Optical Connectivity at Corning, will provide a fundamental understanding of fiber optics connectivity:

Different components in an optical link including fiber cables, connectors and transceivers

Durability and suitability of glass optical fiber, cables, and connectors for automotive applications from a fundamental materials science and physics perspective

Performance of automotive grade multigig transceiver

The workshop will address some common myths and misconceptions about glass optical fiber connectivity using compelling physical demonstrations and test data. It will be a great opportunity to ask questions and interact with physical demos.

In addition, we will present our latest in-vehicle connectivity demo setups based on our new KD7251 automotive optical multi-protocol transceiver at stand C-04.

We look forward to meeting you in Munich!
