KDs latest technology and collaborations were on display at E&IP@ATD
2025-10-17
KD was present with its latest innovations at the IEEE SA Ethernet & IP @ Automotive Technology Day 2025 (E&IP@ATD), from 15 to 16 October. This event, which took place at MEETT Toulouse Exhibition & Convention Centre (Aussonne, Francia), is one of the premier events for automobile manufacturers, suppliers, semiconductor vendors, tool providers, engineers, scientists, educators and the media to share groundbreaking ideas along with implementation strategies and applications related to Automotive Ethernet Systems.
At booth 31, our experts Óscar Ciordia (Sales and Marketing Director), Juan Luis Matus (CSM), Pablo Blázquez (BDM) and Luis Medina (FAE) showed the attendees our latest innovations. Among these innovations were the demo of the first 802.3cz Camera, LI-VENUS-ISX031-BASE-AU from Leopard Imaging, which is based on our 10GBASE-AU KD7251 optical transceiver, which uses CSI-2 over optical Ethernet and communicates data with a link of up to 40 meters. The camera includes a hybrid cable and connector system designed and development by Corning Incorporated.
The KD7251 is the first transceiver that is compliant with the IEEE Std 802.3cz standard specification for multigigabit glass optical fiber (GOF) automotive Ethernet. It implements the nGBASE-AU physical layers in a single-chip solution, supporting 10, 5, 2.5 Gb/s. In addition, it includes bridging functionalities to enable the connectivity of sensors, displays, and processors in the vehicle.
Collaborations
KD was also present at the MD Elektronik booth, where they have shown a FO connection between two ECUs following the 802.3cz standard and with our KD7251.
In addition, Vector, a leader in the measurement equipment industry, has added 802.3cz standard optical communications technology to its portfolio. To this end, it has established a partnership with KD to incorporate the KD7251 into its equipment. At its booth, they showcased its measurement equipment enabled to test optical networks in the automotive industry.
For its part, Keysight, in collaboration with KD, has launched and promoted in E&IP@ATD a device that tests the use of fibre optics in automotive connections, which will enrich the ecosystem.
At KD, we are delighted to have presented our latest advances and collaborations at E&IP@ATD, as they will contribute to strengthening the automotive ecosystem.
