2025-07-08
KD has been present in Automotive Ethernet Tech Days by Nikkei Business Publications, themed “Key Automotive Ethernet Technology Accelerates Software-defined Vehicle Development”. There, our CEO Carlos Pardo, Óscar Ciordia (Marketing and Sales Director), Juan Luis Matus (CSM) and David Cheng (BDM Asia) has presented the first automotive camera with high-speed optical connectivity in the market. The reception from the Japanese automotive industry has been enthusiastic, appreciating the advantages of KD’s proposal over copper cable connectivity.
KD’s presence in the Japanese automotive market began several years ago with collaboration between the company and key players in communications technology such as the Jaspar Association of Japanese Automotive Companies and the Nagoya University Testing Institute. KD has signed agreements with several Tier-1s to conduct proof-of-concepts with optical multigigabit communications technology in real automotive environments.
Juan Luis Matus, CSM and member of the KD team present in Kyoto, has emphasized that “it was very gratifying to observe the high level of acceptance and interest our technology received among Japanese OEMs and Tier 1s. We and our partners were extremely satisfied with the results of the exhibition”.
From KD we would like to thank the organization for their work and also thank all the attendees who came to meet us at our booth.
