KD will be present at ECOC 2025 with its new transceiver KD7251

2025-09-12

KD will present the new optical transceiver KD7251 at ECOC 2025, from September 28 to October 2, at stand C1407 in Copenhagen, Denmark. At ECOC our team, represented by our CTO David Ortiz, our Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Manager Alberto Rodríguez-Pérez and our BDM Pablo Blázquez, will unveil our latest breakthroughs in optical automotive data communications.

Among the demonstrations that will be available at our booth will be the backbone demo and the brand new IEEE 802.3cz-compliant multigigabit vision system solution, delivering scalable data communications up to 10 Gb/s. It’s the first implementation of our 10GBASE-AU KD7251 optical transceiver into an optical automotive multigigabit camera, LI-VENUS-ISX031-BASE-AU, from Leopard Imaging. Corning Incorporated designed and developed a hybrid cable and connector system utilizing Corning’s automotive grade cables and connectors. It provides a future-enabling solution to meet the challenging network requirements of automotive applications such as autonomous driving, assisted driving (ADAS), digital video recording, and machine vision.

The European Conference on Optical Communication ECOC stands as Europe’s premier gathering for optical communications, holding a prominent position as one of the globe’s most significant events in this field. This conference unites pioneers and professionals from academia, research, and industry, fostering the exchange of cutting-edge discoveries and future-oriented perspectives.
